Team Sponsorship Initiative

Hello educators!

We hope you are having a wonderful start to your Fall semester!

Participation in esports and gaming in schools is such a critical activity for so many kids. The CDC has stated that one of the most important factors in student safety is a sense of connectedness in their school community; and esports and gaming are crucial activities for building that sense of school connectedness for thousands of students across the country.

We are aware that lack of funding and resources is unfortunately a real barrier for student participation in esports and gaming for many schools. With this in mind it has always been the mission of the UGC team to do everything we can to keep our platform free for middle and high school students.

Fortunately the UGC platform is simplifying the ways in which community partners can financially support your esports and gaming programs, while simultaneously allowing us to maintain the scholastic ecosystem that we have all worked so hard to build together. UGC is committed to ‘leveling up’ student experience, inside our gaming ecosystem, as well as outside of the classroom. With this new initiative, students will be able to learn real-world skills; sales, activation, site design, production, etc. that they can take with them as they develop both as players, and young professionals.

Today, we’re launching a new beta feature on the UGC platform that will allow for the next logical step within the sponsorship-based model we have followed thus far: allowing individual teams to sell sponsorships on their team pages in-platform, just like a football or basketball team would do on their scoreboards or at their stadiums. These sponsorships will ensure that both your individual programs and the larger ecosystem we’ve built together will be successful and sustainable for many years to come.

We will be conducting two Town Hall meetings on October 6th and October 12 to introduce these new features, as well as some new partners that will be bringing their resources to our ecosystem, and answer any questions you may have. Click this link to RSVP

If you are interested in learning more about this initiative, or how your school can activate a sponsorship immediately, please click here.

We hope you enjoy this new feature, along with others we will explain in depth during both Town Hall meetings, and use it to continue to multiply the impact you have on your students with esports and gaming! Good luck, and go get those sponsors!
